Welcome to Frøya and Hitra. These islands now offer a direct road connection to the mainland and are beautifully situated off the coast of Trøndelag, only a two-hour drive south-west of Trondheim. Frøya and Hitra are known as one of the best destinations in the world for deep sea fishing. But we have much more to offer our guests as well. We have a wide range of activities and adventures in store for you.

HitraDykk er et foretak som tilrettelegger for gode dykkeopplevelser på Hitra i Sør-Trøndelag. De har nå laget en presentasjon, denne kan du laste ned ved å trykke her!

Kystmuseet i Sør-Trøndelag

Folket i Flatvika - I levende live har startet opp igjen i sommer.

Opplev dyktige lokale aktører som formidler historien om kystgården Flatvika. Året er 1920.

Hver lørdag fra 3. juli til 14 august kl 1300 samt onsdag 21. juli og 4.august kl 1500

Lørdag 3. juli kl 1400 åpner salgsutstillingen "Kjærlighet - og litt til " av kunstneren Eli Stav i museumsgalleriet.

Museumsbutikken har et godt utvalg av bøker, kjeramikk, smykker, glass, ullprodukter, skinnprodukter, sjøkart og suvenirer.

Hitra turistkontor finner dere på Kystmuseet i Sør-Trøndelag i Fillan.

Åpent hver dag fra 20. juni til 20. august fra 10-18

Hitra

Hitra - When you want to...

The island Hitra is the seventh largest (excluding Svalbard) and the largest south of the Lofoten Islands. Øyas land areas is 571.5 km ², while the the council area is 680 km ². The highest point is Mørkdalstuva, 345 metres above sea level. and is located on the west side of the island. Topographi, vegetation and animal life is varied. Along the coast towards the south, west and north is the nature marked by rough coastal climate with the naked heather moors. In the interior of the island can be found pine forests, mountain terrain and large flats of swamp with rich bird life. The Havmyran nature was protected as a nature reserve in 1982 and covers the well 40 km ² untouched landscape in the interior of the island. www.hitra.kommune.no

Frøya

Frøya - The islands against the big ocean!

The landscape on Frøya is characterized by low forest, hilly landscape with a lot of swamp, mountain and water. It is planted significant amounts of wood several places. Frøya is relatively flat, with Bremnestua 74 metres above sea level as one of the highest points. Frøya council is enormous in extent, if one expects the vast sea areas within the councilborder If one considers only the countries that are on the island of Frøya 147 km ², while the municipality make up the 244 km ². http://www.froya.kommune.no
