Golf. Hitra Golfklubb in Sandstad is situated in a unique place with a view the big passenger ships passing on their way to the city of Trondheim. More beautiful surroundings are hard to find. Hikes. For the one who loves walking in the nature there are many alternative hiking paths. Margrethes Minde, Hokkeltind, Hestnesfjellet, Eldsfjellet with the wind mills, Gammelvegen and Kjærligsstien ("The Love Path"). Be free to contact the tourist information to have a map of the hiking paths.

Swimming og fitness/gym centres. In the Hitra Hall there is a fitness studio, gym hall and swimming pool. Frøya also has a pool right by Hotel Frøya in Sistranda.
